Conservatory of Classical Ballet Policies

The following policies are in effect for the duration of the student's training at the Conservatory of Classical Ballet
Proper Grooming
Part of the ballet discipline is presenting a clean well-groomed appearance. Dance wear should be clean and in good repair, hair neat and tidy. Ladies must wear their hair in a bun with a hair net. If hair is too short to wear in bun, it should be pulled back away from face and neck with a headband or clips. Jewelry shoud not be worn in class.
Conduct
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined and courteous manner at all times. Punctuality and good attendace are very important. Students should arrive for class five to fifteen minutes early. It is essential that students be prepared to start class on time. Excercises, designed to properly warm the muscles, are done in the beginning of class. If excersises are missed, the dancer may be injured. Students arriving late will be asked to observe the class.
Make-up Classes
Students enroll for the entire term. There are no refunds for missed classes. If a student misses a class they may take a make-up class in the same or lower level from their own. Make-up classes must be taken within one month of the missed class.
Observation
Parents/Guardians may observe the last class of the month of September and February.
Performance
All students are encouraged to perform. If a student chooses to perform in "The Nutcracker Suite" and/or the "Student Showcase," they must commit to attend all studio and dress rehearsals. A schedule of mandatory rehearsal dates is listed on the school calendar and performance permission slips. The performance fee is non-refundable.
Tuition/Fees
Please note on your calendar when payments are due. We will not send a bill unless your payment is late. A non-refundable $40 Annual Registration Fee is due at time of registration. Any returned check will incur a $20 bank charge. Payments received more than seven days past due date must include a $10 late fee. Any student with a payment 14 or more days in arrears, without a plan of payment agreed to by the CCB administration, will be dropped from class. Annual Payment: due at the time of registration. Semester Payment: 1st payment due at the time of registration; 2nd payment due December 30, 2024. Trimester Payment: 1st payment due at the time of registration; 2nd payment due November 15, 2024; 3rd payment due February 28, 2025. Monthly This option is only available for Pre Ballet and Beginning Ballet. Payment: 1st payment due at time of registration; remaining 9 payments due the 1st of the each month, September 2024 thru May 2025.
Withdrawal
At the time of registration the student's place is held for the entire school year. If a student wants to withdraw before the end of the school year, a written request must be submitted to the office one month in advance or one month's tuition will be owed.
