The following policies are in effect for the duration of the student's training at the Conservatory of Classical Ballet
Part of the ballet discipline is presenting a clean well-groomed appearance. Dance wear should be clean and in good repair, hair neat and tidy. Ladies must wear their hair in a bun with a hair net. If hair is too short to wear in bun, it should be pulled back away from face and neck with a headband or clips. Jewelry shoud not be worn in class.
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined and courteous manner at all times. Punctuality and good attendace are very important. Students should arrive for class five to fifteen minutes early. It is essential that students be prepared to start class on time. Excercises, designed to properly warm the muscles, are done in the beginning of class. If excersises are missed, the dancer may be injured. Students arriving late will be asked to observe the class.
Students enroll for the entire term. There are no refunds for missed classes. If a student misses a class he/she may take a make-up class in a lower level. Make-up classes must be taken within one month of the missed class.
Parents/Guardians may observe the last class of the month of September and February.
All students are encouraged to perform. If a student chooses to perform in "The Nutcracker Suite" and/or the "Student Showcase," he/she must commit to attend all studio and dress rehearsal. A schedule of mandatory rehearsal dates is listed on the school calendar and performance permission slips. The performance fee is non-refundable.
Please note on your calendar when payments are due. We will not send a bill unless your payment is late. There is a non-refundable $35 Annual Registration Fee. Payments received more than seven days past due date must include a $10 late fee. There is a $20 bank charge for any checks returned. If payment is missed, students will be dropped from class.
At the time of registration the student's place is held for the entire school year. If a student wants to withdraw before the end of the school year, a written request must be submitted to the office one month in advance or one month's tuition will be owed.
